A day at the Mountain Detox

Each morning starts with an hour of restorative yoga. These slow movements are good to cleanse your digestive system and will reduce tension in the body. After the yoga, we take the time for a group session and a cup of tea. Going through this detox together will feel supportive, as you share your experiences and we guide you along the way.
We alternate rest with gentle movement and massage. You can relax by the pool, take an easy walk in the mountains, or nap whenever you need. Evenings are simple and calm, with time to read, rest, or sit by the fire.

This is a water-based cleanse. Throughout the day, you’ll drink plenty of water and selected herbal teas to promote hydration and natural detoxification. In the evening, you’ll receive a nourishing vegetable broth, enriched with Chinese herbs chosen to accompany the detox process.

Why consider a cleanse?

Over time, daily stress, busy routines, and inconsistent eating habits can take a toll on the body. At the same time, we’re constantly absorbing information, emotions, and daily experiences. When tension builds up in the body and emotions alike, the body can start to signal that something needs attention. You might notice digestive issues like bloating, heartburn, constipation, or loose stools. It can also show up as low energy, poor sleep, mood swings, painful periods, menopausal complaints, water retention, stiff joints, or repeated inflammation.

The program

After registering, you’ll receive a questionnaire followed by an online consultation with Reinhilde to determine your needs for this detox. In the week before the Mountain Detox, you’ll slowly reduce certain foods and drinks to prepare your body. You can keep up your normal daily routine.

You’ll arrive the evening before the detox starts. The first three days focus on a guided water and herbal tea’s fast, giving your body time to rest. Each evening, you’ll have a vegetable broth with Chinese herbs. This is followed by three days of gradually adding food, giving your body time to adjust.

We guide you step by step through the detox, with support such as massages, herbal teas, vegetable broths with Chinese herbs, gentle yoga, meditation walks, and light meals when food is reintroduced.

This steady rhythm gives your body time to rest and shift into recovery. As intake decreases, your body begins to use stored energy, including excess fat and fluids. Digestion gets a break, and the intestines can gradually clear. With less overall strain, your organs have the chance to function more efficiently.

After the Mountain Detox — how do you maintain the benefits?

You’ll receive simple recipes that suit your body, along with practical tips to help you eat more consciously. Massages and acupuncture sessions can support your balance and help you stay healthy.
From time to time, a short fasting day based on the Mountain Detox principles can help you reset. During the retreat, you’ll learn easy, realistic ways to continue gentle cleansing practices at home.

In this way, the Mountain detox isn’t just a one-time experience, but a starting point for living in a more balanced and attentive way.

This is not a juice or smoothie detox. During the retreat, you will receive light vegetable broths prepared with organic ingredients and carefully selected Chinese herbs.
